Introducing our new team mate, British sailor Montel Fagan-Jordan as the first Nautica Competition brand ambassador for Autumn / Winter 2020. 

Hailing from North London’s Greig City Academy, 20-year-old Montel is a product of the inner-city Sailing School and is one of sailing’s brightest young stars. 

Montel first gained notoriety within the sailing world in 2017 when he led his school to compete in the 605-mile Fastnet Race aged just 17, making Greig City Academy the first and only state comprehensive school to have ever competed in the race. 

Then in 2018, he went on to be awarded the prestigious title of YJA Young Sailor of the Year, following in the footsteps of four-time Olympic gold medalist Sir Ben Ainslie and Hannah Mills MBE. 

We’ve teamed up with Montel for our Autumn / Winter 2020 collection which sees him taking part in a photoshoot for our latest drops. Bringing sailing to the streets, the range merges the Nautica brand heritage with contemporary streetstyle for a fresh new audience.
